Heavy Equipment Operator
Stokes Construction, based in Philomath, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Heavy Equipment Operator for full-time work. We are a family business that was established in 1972. We build logging roads and we are a very busy, contract-driven company.
Required Qualifications:
o Minimum of 2 years verifiable experience operating equipment. Experience building logging roads is a plus.
o Must be able to maintain the equipment and operate independently.
o Ability to maneuver heavy objects.
o Ability to take and follow direction.
o Negative pre-employment drug test.
Duties:
o Operate various construction equipment such as excavators, brush cutters, graders, rollers, dozers, etc.
o Inspect equipment before and during normal operation for wear or breakage.
o Follow safety procedures.
o Work as a team player.
All of our jobs are within an hour or so radius of Philomath. The days are long and may require a six-day work week throughout our busy season. Hourly compensation will be negotiated depending on experience. We offer Medical/Dental/Vision benefits after 60 days of full-time employment. We also offer retirement benefits.
