Overview:
Local fabrication shop looking for an individual for part time employment: Monday - Friday, flexible hours, 16 to 24 hours per week. Opportunity for full time employment in the future.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of metal components
- Fabricate and weld metal parts using various welding techniques such as MIG, and TIG welding
- Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components
- Perform quality checks to ensure that finished products meet the required specifications
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of fabrication processes
- Proficient in welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Experience in fabricating and assembling metal components
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in metal fabrication
- Experience with plasma cutting equipment is a plus
- Ability to rig and move heavy materials as needed
