We are searching for a skilled auto body technician to add to our team. Your primary job in this role will be to work on the complete restoration of our clients’ vehicles – interior and exterior. This will involve repairing, replacing, and upgrading a variety of car parts.
You will also spend time refinishing vehicles and preparing them to be painted. This will involve sanding cars and ensuring that the body of the vehicle is ready to take on a new coat of paint.
Our auto body technicians work as part of our larger vehicle restoration team. It’s important that you’re able to work well with others and capable of demonstrating professionalism in the workplace. Responsibilities:
1. Restoring vehicles to original or better condition by repairing, replacing, and upgrading features of their vehicle
2. Customizing vehicles according to customer preferences
3. Ability to complete body repair and prep work
4. Prepare cars to be painted by sanding and refinishing them
5. Performing duties while keeping within estimation guidelines
6. Cooperates and assists other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles
7. Notifies management of any additional repairs needed
8. Notify management of difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the estimated time
9. Follow all workplace safety requirements
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a classic car auto body technician
2. Basic arithmetic skills
3. Physically fit with exceptional manual dexterity
4. Observant and meticulous
5. Ownership of position needed tools
