Brandywine Fisheries is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Market Manager or Assistant for one of our Saturday farmers markets. This role includes setting up and breaking down the display, handling sales transactions, and ensuring an inviting and well-stocked market presence throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and arrange products in an attractive and organized manner.
Greet customers, provide product details, and assist with inquiries.
Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
Maintain a clean and visually appealing display throughout the market.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs.
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Work with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Pack up and dismantle the display at the end of the market.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation (minivan, small SUV, or truck) for product transport.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Basic math skills for handling transactions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical capability to lift and move heavy items.
Attention to detail for maintaining an appealing display.
Weekend and holiday availability, as markets often operate during these times.
