The porter/groundskeeper will be responsible for meticulous upkeep of the grounds and building exteriors of commercial and multifamily buildings along with occasional single-family homes within Lane County.
RESPONSIBLITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES-include but not limited to:
ROUTINE CLEANING: Maintain the cleanliness of the grounds, office(s), garbage areas, amenities, and parking lots to maximize appearance. Empty trash receptacles and make sure any trash/debris is taken to dumpster.
LANDSCAPE/GROUNDS: Maintain the exterior of the buildings and grounds including minimal landscaping duties, such as weed pulling or lawn mowing with push mower. Ground maintenance such as trash/debris pick-up/removal, pressure washing, spider web clearing and leaf blowing. Will operate handheld power tools such as: gas powered mowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers and others not listed.
SERVICE CALLS: Assist maintenance with work orders, moving/lifting items, and unloading and storing supplies. May also assist in removing trash after move-outs or prior to move-ins.
SAFETY: Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on buildings or grounds and/or common areas to the Property Manager immediately. Maintain grounds and work area to prevent any safety hazards. Snow and ice removal when required.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGN
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS but not limited to:
Detail originated, efficient in time management, planning and meeting deadlines.
Maintain accurate written daily records of all work performed.
Comply will all safety requirements.
Valid driver’s license as this job requires you travel locally from job site to job site alone; ability to be insured under company auto insurance.
Skilled in driving truck with trailer and able to safely back/parallel park them in tight spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Capable of bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time
Previous experience in ground keeping/porter service is preferred
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
SCHEDULE AND ENVIROMENT
PART-TIME 25-30 hours a week
Required to maintain a regular schedule, but which may be flexible on time/day of duties.
May be required to aid during staffing deficiencies or emergencies (weather or otherwise)
This position requires you to be outside continuously in all weather conditions.
Ability to work under minimal to moderate supervision.
