Role Summary:
The QC Inspector ensures that finished panels meet company and customer specifications through consistent inspection, documentation, and feedback throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities:
In-Process Inspection
Monitor panels during wet-line finishing, laminating, and edge banding
Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional checks (surface quality, texture, thickness)
Measurements & Testing
Use tools like calipers, micrometers, gauges, and templates
Read and interpret blueprints/schematics to ensure accuracy
Non-Conformance Handling
Identify, document, and report defects such as bubbles, delamination, finish errors
Recommend corrective actions and help with root cause analysis
Tool Calibration & Maintenance
Clean, calibrate, and maintain inspection tools (e.g., dial indicators)
Documentation & Reporting
Log inspection results and maintain records for audits

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work with production teams to address quality issues on the spot
Participate in internal audits and improvement projects
✅ Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing quality inspection is highly desirable
Proficient with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
Capable of reading technical drawings and following detailed instructions
Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
Working Conditions & Shift Details
Primarily first-shift production environment (day shift)
Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions (noise, dust, movement)
Physically active role requiring some heavy lifting and extended standing
