About this position:
As a Strategic Retail Buyer, no two days are ever the same. You will be responsible for negotiating with vendors to procure the best products at the best price possible. You will be responsible for seeking trends and attending trade shows in hopes to find treasures to bring back to our Gold Beach Lumber & Cascade Home Center retail stores. You must be comfortable with taking calculated risks. You must also be interested in fostering relationships and building upon them. You will get to work with some of the top brands in the industry and call them friends.
You will be responsible for:
Purchasing goods and commodities
Researching consumer and industry trends
Attending trade shows in key categories
Increasing customer base
Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the best quality at the best price
Collaborate with merchandise and retail departments to make key decisions
Managing all administrative tasks such as purchase orders, stock control, and logistic documents.
Assisting with marketing and sales strategies.
Generating and presenting analytical reports such as market research, price comparisons, and cost analyses.
Reporting any issues with suppliers, logistics, or products to the supervisor.
Keeping abreast of competitors and the new products on the market.

Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field (Business management, retail, finance, etc.)
2+ years of retail merchandise or commodities buying experience
Wages:
$65,000 - $75,000 DOE
