Walsh Trucking Co. a family owned and operated business since 1959, and staple in the Wood residuals and Refuse industry is in need of a Shop Helper in our Shop in Eugene. This is a regular full time position. Shift will be M-F: 8:00AM to 4:30PM
Job Duties:
o Help keep the shop clean and tidy by sweeping and putting tools away
o Occasionally assist mechanics with repairs by holding parts or collecting tools
o Operate a forklift
o Assist the parts department by putting inbound parts away
o Drive a company vehicle to pick up parts and raw materials
o Empty garbage cans/recycling on a daily basis
o Help maintain company facilities, wash/clean shop vehicles
A Successful Candidate will possess:
o High school diploma or GED
o Previous forklift experience preferred
o Valid driver license & clean driving record required
o The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
o With training and good performance has potential to move up into a Mechanic or Parts Assistant position.
