Job Title: Cleaner-Housekeeper

Division: Property Management

Department: Operations

Reports to: Directly to: Maintenance Supervisor; Indirectly to: Property Manager, Regional Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary

The Cleaner-Housekeeper reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the daily cleaning/upkeep of the property's amenities, common areas, leasing office, model, etc, and the overall cleanliness of full vacant and partial vacant apartments. The primary responsibilities of the Cleaner-Housekeeper include but is not limited to: collecting valet trash according to schedule, performing the cleanliness portion of the make ready process throughout the year, and during turn season as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager, responding according to company policy to cleaning assignments, and maintaining excellent resident relations through superior customer service. On call and weekend hours may be required on occasion.

1. Maintains positive resident relations through superior service.

2. Responsible for general cleaning and trash removal of grounds and residential areas, including make ready apartments and common areas.

3. Responsible for cleaning and preparing full vacant and partial vacant apartments for move-ins.

4. Responsible for cleaning and daily upkeep of the property's offices, amenities, etc.

5. Assists with the make ready process.

6. Identifies apartments in violation of property's trash/cleanliness expectations, and promptly reports deficiencies to the Property Manager in accordance with the property's policy.

7. Performs other turn related duties as assigned.

8. Promptly reports any safety or maintenance concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.

9. Participates in the daily operations of the property.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Gathers supplies from local stores as directed by Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor

2. Exercises fiscal responsibility when utilizing property resources, equipment, etc.

3. Lifts and works with heavy equipment as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities

Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance team members.

Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Professional, responsive, and reliable.

Has good interpersonal skills and a great attitude.

Thorough knowledge of company policies, safety standards, Fair Housing laws, and OSHA guidelines.
