Greetings — Our family farm situated just north of Eugene, south of Coburg, has an immediate part-time opening for our on-site grounds maintenance position. Located on 27 idyllic acres right on the McKenzie River, the farm has acres of communal vegetable gardens, orchards, and our primary commercial focus, cut flowers and woody ornamentals.
The farm/property maintenance is mostly landscaping, standard outdoor work on a farm, and the occasional building or fence repair, light construction, and assistance around the farm on seasonal projects. For the right person this provides an opportunity to be outdoors, active, and always engaged in something different as the months and seasons turn! The flower farm is a ton of work, but it is very rewarding, and a beautiful and unique place to be, especially during the peak growing season!
We request that anybody considering this opportunity have experience in landscape/farm maintenance, is able to comfortably lift 50 pounds, has the knowledge necessary to run and maintain power tools and landscaping equipment, and has the knowledge needed for basic construction and upkeep. The ability to work outside, even in the extremes of summer and winter, is required. Being that this is a family farm where we live too, and we are essentially a small neighborhood community, we ask that people with felony criminal records or active/troublesome substance use issues need not apply. This location is only a ten minute drive to downtown Eugene, but reliable transportation is a must, and a vehicle fit for maintenance/farm work is suggested.
