JOIN LANE COUNTY'S LEADING LANDSCAPE SUPPLIER! Lane Forest Products has a full time opening for a Garden Center Associate position at our Corner Store location in Glenwood.
Our team focuses on quality with an emphasis on customer service. If you’re a person who has at least 3 years nursery or garden center experience, this may be the perfect job for you.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide friendly customer service and ensure customer needs are being met
Assist customers with plant selections
Advise customers about plant care, watering and fertilizing best practices
Display trees, shrubs and accessories in retail garden center
Ensure the retail yard is stocked with sufficient quantities of merchandise
Assist in ordering and receiving merchandise
Accurate Cash handling
Operate Forklift, Front End Loader and complete all associated training and reviews as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
3 years of nursery or retail garden center experience
Working knowledge of inventory management including buying, appropriate in-stock levels, and retail pricing preferred.
Must have the ability to operate a Forklift and a Front End Loader (training provided)
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the day.
