Pasture-based livestock farm is currently looking for a team player to fill the position of Farmers Market Rep/Driver. You will be driving a 24ft BOX TRUCK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to Farmers Markets on specific routes in Portland, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading the delivery vehicle and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. We will provide training to the right person who can demonstrate motivation and a willingness to learn Applicants must possess a clean driving record
This is a driving, loading and sales rep position that requires that you be in good shape and have a good attitude. Applicants should be able to carry up to 50lbs, drive for 2-3 hours, and stand for 5-6 hour periods at a time. During the Famers Markets you will be expected to engage with customers in a friendly manner, keep up to date with product knowledge and provided excellent customer service.
Deliveries Preparations begin Friday. Deliveries are Saturday and Sunday in Portland so the position requires staying OVERNIGHT in Portland, at a AirB&B arranged and paid for by our company. Saturday and Sunday duties are what we are looking to fill first, however additional hours could be arranged, with work on Thursdays making the position a 40hr work week. An example schedule follows:
Friday (7:00am-12pm, 5 hours)Junction City
Saturday (4:00am-6:00pm, 14 hours)Junction City to PDX
Sunday (6am-5pm, 11 hours)PDX to Junction City
Job Description and Duties
· Assist in loading and unloading vehicle with items to be delivered
· Ensure that items are properly stacked and secured inside the delivery vehicle
· Take delivery instructions from supervisors
· Chart out appropriate route for delivery on the map or GPS
· Maintain proper knowledge of loaded items
· Ensure that appropriate and complete documentation is available at the time of loading
· Make sure that speed limits are adhered to
· Assist in unloading items off the vehicle in a safe manner
· Ensure that invoices are signed
· Check vehicle for possible wear and tear
· Ensure that both general and preventative maintenance measures are performed on the vehicle by communicating with supervisors
· Thoroughly clean inside of vehicle after deliveries
· Perform diagnosis and troubleshooting activities on vehicle when needed
· Ensure that the delivery schedule is followed
· Handle invoice discrepancies by informing superiors of problems and complaints
· Lift up to 50 lbs
· Drive in all weather conditions
· Interface with customers, farm employees, and market booths

Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
Ability to load and unload orders and market infrastructure
