1-2 part time PSW/DSP openings in fantastic team of caregivers assisting a fun, active, awesome young man with high support needs.
Responsibilities include supporting this client at home and in attending community celebrations, live music, karaoke, cooking, bowling, hiking, biking, etcetera. He’s also introspective and chatty and likes to have meaningful conversations about relationships, responsibilities, learning, etc.
He receives 24 hr support, including some 2 on 1 hours. Assistance also needed in managing his schedule, with communication, daily housekeeping Support also needed with hygiene (including showering, toothbrushing, using the restroom).
Ability to commit to a minimum of one year with consistent, reliable availability for shifts during the following hours: Fridays 8:30am-8pm, Saturdays 9am—8pm, Sundays 12pm-8pm. To prevent burnout, this is not a full-time position. Most of us have another job, are students or have family we care for. This position requires a solid work ethic, an openness to learning and respect of diversity of all kinds. Supportive and fun work environment with robust training provided. Many of our caregivers stay on for years/decades.
Driver’s license, application, background check required. Caregivers must have a registered and insured vehicle to provide transportation during their shifts. Mileage is reimbursed.
Wage is $16-$30/ hr depending on which agency you choose to work through. Benefits vary.
