Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. You will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Duties

Deliver high-quality chairside assistance with precision and care during dental procedures.

Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.

Take medical imaging as required, ensuring accurate positioning and exposure.

Maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment plans using Dentrix systems.

Fabricate Temporary crowns.

Manage inventory of dental supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and readily available.

Foster strong relationships with patients by providing exceptional care and communication.

Continuously learn and adapt to new dental technologies and techniques to enhance your skills.

Manage lab cases going in and out of office.

Experience

Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred)

Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential.

Experience with Dentrix dental software

Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is advantageous.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to ensure efficient workflow.

Cerec and PrimeScan experience (not required)

Qualifications:

Oregon Radiology Certificate (required)

EFDA Certification (required).

Pay: Starting from $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 36 per week
