Grade: C42

$30.34- $42.47/ hour (approx. $63,099- $88,339 annual), Pay dependent on qualifications and in accordance with Oregon's Pay Equity Act.

Position includes generous medical package to include $1,200 health reimbursement account, sick leave, vacation, holidays, gym membership, and participation in Oregon Public Employee’s Retirement (PERS).

Relocation reimbursement for actual costs up to $5,000 may be available if incumbent is relocating greater than 100 miles.

The City of Springfield is seeking a highly organized Administrative Aide/ City Recorder who is dedicated to public service and who can provide specialized support to the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, Mayor, and City Council. This position will also serve as the Elections Officer and uphold the values, integrity, and transparency of local government.

Training & Experience:

The City will consider any equivalent combination of knowledge, skills, education, and experience to meet minimum qualifications. Such a way to meet minimum qualifications could include:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field, and;

2-5 years of experience providing administrative support, scheduling, preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and responding to inquiries, and;

A minimum of 1 year experience providing executive administrative support in local government or a special district, and;

1 year of supervisory experience

Special Licenses & Certifications:

The following list is NOT required at hire but is preferred. The incumbent will be required to obtain them within 6 months of hire or upon designation:

Certified Municipal Clerk, Records Manager, or Master Municipal Clerk

Oregon Public Notary

Complete FEMA/NIMS ICS 100, 200, 700

Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) clearance

Please note that in order to acquire CJIS certification, the individual cannot have any felony convictions, and any other criminal record is at the discretion of the certifying agency. CJIS requires finger printing as well.

Licenses & Certifications:

Valid Driver’s License in the State of Oregon

Selection and Interview Process:
