We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Line Cook/Sous Chef to join our kitchen family. In this role, you'll work directly with our Head Chef to prepare classic Chinese American dishes that honor traditional techniques while embracing modern innovations from Chef Sun's Szechuan roots.
Responsibilities
Execute dishes to our exacting standards of quality, taste, and presentation
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food preparation
Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards
Help develop and refine recipes as we continue to evolve our menu
Manage kitchen inventory and minimize waste while maintaining quality
Ensure prompt and efficient service during busy periods
Qualifications
2+ years experience in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen
Knowledge of Chinese cuisine and cooking techniques preferred
Understanding of kitchen equipment and maintenance
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and during peak hours
Team player with excellent communication skills
Food Handler's certification required
Culinary degree or formal training a plus
