Viking Brewing is looking for a part time line cook for dinner and event service Thursday-Saturday. The West Eugene brewery taproom is the original tasting room for Viking Brewing, and the sole production facility for our line of beer and Viking-inspired honey ales. The brewery taproom has an indoor as well as outdoor stage and features local live music every weekend, and it can get busy fast. In the summer, our garden patio is covered by a beautiful canopy of hops and is an oasis for summer drinking, music, and special events.
The Viking food truck operates 4pm-8:30pm, Thursday-Saturday, with days/hours likely to expand as the weather warms. You will help with prep, work the line, and will be interacting with customers as they come to pick up their food, which they currently order from the bar inside.
The food truck was custom built by Nasty Works in 2021, is 20' long with a high ceiling and type-one hood and was designed with high volume and festivals in mind. It currently resides full time on the tasting room garden patio, but will be venturing to its first high volume festival this late summer! Currently, the menu is classic pub fare, including burgers, hot links, fish and chips, and various fried favorites.
You:
Have two or more years of experience in a commercial kitchen
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Cleanly, detail-oriented, friendly, can work well with a team or independently
Must have reliable transportation
Have or can quickly obtain Oregon Food Handlers Card
