Viking Brewing's Southtowne restaurant is hiring for an experienced bartender/server. This position would start as part time, roughly 15-25 hours per week, with the option to cover extra shifts and take on more as business increases in the Spring. The ideal applicant would be available on weekends and have a somewhat flexible schedule. Shifts would vary between bartending and serving shifts, and would likely be more serving shifts than behind the bar to start.
The Southtowne Pub is the in-town sister location to Viking Brewing Company, a locally owned brewery in West Eugene that specializes in braggot, a honey ale once made by the Vikings by pouring mead and beer together. Viking has modernized the approach with a beer-forward version that includes adding honey to select brews before fermentation. The Pub's food menu is Scandinavian-inspired to compliment our Norse-inspired draft list, and features authentic dishes as well as high quality gastro pub favorites, utilizing the Scandinavian food philosophy of harmonizing preserved with fresh. Our cocktail program centers around aquavit, the caraway-based spirit of Scandinavia, and our bar features one of the most extensive selections of aquavit in the PNW.
