Job Summary:
A Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning dishes and to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans, oven racks, and all items associated with kitchenware equipment. A dishwasher is the backbone of any restaurant, playing a role in both the beginning and end of every single food item served to guests. Assistance in food prep may be involved after some experience is acquired.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning dishes as well as prioritizing which dishes will be needed ahead of others. Dishes need to be hand washed, then machine washed, dried, and put away in an organized fashion.
Must pick up full bus tubs in restaurant, and make sure a new empty bus tub takes its place.
Must keep dish pit area clean including emptying food grates, emptying garbage and food waste, and cleaning drains regularly.
