Are you a passionate and experienced baker with a love for European-style pastries and breads? We’re a well-established bakery and café in Eugene seeking a dedicated baker to join our team.
We specialize in small-batch, high-quality baked goods—including croissants, muffins, scones, cookies, sweet breads, cakes, English muffins, and biscuits—crafted daily using the finest local and organic ingredients whenever possible.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a professional kitchen with strong references
Skills: Ability to work independently, manage time well, and maintain a high standard of quality
Availability: 3 days/week, 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all baked goods
Follow established portion sizes, recipes, and kitchen procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
Communicate clearly with team members and kitchen staff
Handle, store, and rotate ingredients properly
Comply with Oregon Department of Health (ODH) food safety standards, including current COVID-19 protocols
Clean and sanitize baking area and equipment at the end of each shift
Qualifications:
Valid Oregon Food Handler’s permit
At least 2 years of professional baking experience
Familiarity with standard kitchen equipment and techniques
