Job DescriptionAs part of the Eugene Custom Services Project Management team, we lead projects involving products and services not offered through the catalog to enable scientists around the world to pursue groundbreaking discoveries. All projects and orders drive growth, and support to the Biosciences Division as part of the Life Sciences Solutions Group.How you will make an impact :This role serves to facilitate the information flow between operations, marketing, customer service, technical service, customers and sales on custom services, products and projects. Our objective is to maintain positive interactions with customers by facilitating order placement, reviewing technical product feasibility, creation of internal infrastructure, assisting in determination of corrective actions and timely follow-up.

Act as liaison between lab personnel and product end users (directly and through other departments) to set customer expectations, address technical concerns, and assess feasibility of custom requests.

Create product related infrastructure around new parts supporting new opportunities.

Assist in identifying customer opportunities, needs and requirements and communicate opportunities to the Sales force. Provide vital support to acquire and retain customers.

Track the custom service process from the initial inquiry to shipment and invoicing of final product. Collaborate with all parties involved to analyze and improve current processes.

Ensure final shipment of products (services) that may include, preparing a project summary, tracking progress, and contacting the customer

Recognize communication problems between the company and the customer, identify variables, recommend appropriate actions, and make necessary corrections to the processes.

May generate business metrics and reports to monitor performance of the business across products and processes.

Coordinate team, inter-team, or inter-departmental problem-solving teams for custom projects.

How will you get here?Education

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or technical field highly preferred or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the required skills.

Experience

Prior experience in a manufacturing, technical assistance and/or customer service setting strongly preferred.

Experience in delivering top quality results on internal and external timelines.

Project Management and/or Customer Support related experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Must have strong communication (oral and written), organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

Excellent Microsoft Outlook and basic computer skills, including familiarity with spreadsheets and databases. Ability to quickly learn multiple computer systems and programs.

Able to set clear priorities, demonstrates strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities

Strong follow-through skills

Work comfortably and effectively with all levels of leadership

Able to influence business partners and outcomes

Consistent demonstration of accuracy
