We’re on a sweet little farm near Lane Community College where we live in community with a few developmentally disabled adults. We’re ready to hire another staff person. There is some flexibility as to hours. What hours work best for you?
Hourly pay is $16 to start and goes to $17/hour after the 90 day trial period.
Or you can come and stay for a 24-hour or 48-hour shift each week. Pay for each 24-hour shift is $280. So you can earn $2426 in an average month by working only a 48-hour shift each week. This is not a situation where you need to stay up at night. If you’re working an overnight shift, you’re provided with a comfortable room with private bath for your stay.
If you already have the state qualifications for working with developmentally disabled adults then we can start you soon. If not, we can guide you in obtaining the required qualifications. Study materials are online and the process is straightforward. You will need to have a clean criminal history and good references.
We value life experience. Applicants who are on social security are welcome to apply.
We also value entrepreneurship. There are opportunities for entrepreneurial staff who work with our DD clients to also do their own business from the farm—especially if it is farm related.
We are near the college and the university. Students can gain valuable experience and income here. Some students have earned college credit for their work here.
Once you have shown us what a capable staff person you are there may be an opportunity for also living on the farm. There is a hook up available for a tiny home and there are also other possibilities. Let us know if you like the idea of living on the farm.
When you respond please be sure to include information about your experience and why you think this might be a good position for you.
Thank you!
