Our Early Education Program is currently searching for an Early Educator. The position is to work with Infants & Toddlers and/or with the Preschool group depending on our program needs. This is a Part-Time position to start that can turn into a Full-Time position in the next month or so. We are open 8:00am -5:30pm Monday to Friday.

The candidate must have a warm and friendly personality, honest, patient, flexible, playful, active, creative and have good communication skills with children and adults.We are looking for a person that is passionate about early education and strong work ethics. .

This is also an opportunity for someone interested in starting in the field of early education. We provide paid training to the right candidate

Responsibilities:

Follow Child care Rules and Regulations Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care and our program Policies

Take care of our infants and toddlers individual needs: feeding, diapering, napping, etc maintaining their routines

Provide developmentally appropriate experiences that support children’s development in all domain areas

Maintain daily records of children throughout the day

Light cooking,housekeeping, laundry and room organization

Position requires to lift up to 40 lbs and constantly moving (sitting on the floor, standing, kneeling, etc)

Any other task that is required to maintain safety standards and proper operation of our program

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age

Enrollment in Oregon Central Background Registry https://secure.emp.state.or.us/ccd/

First Aid and CPR Credentials

Food Handler's Card

Complete on-line required the "Safety Set" courses within 30 days of hiring (ODELC): Child Abuse and Neglecting, Prevention is Better than Treatment training, Introduction for Child Care Health and Safety,Oregon Infants Safe Sleep

Willing to participate in staff meeting, program activities and complete 20 hours of paid training annually

Qualifications:

Training in Early Education, Child Development, CDA, etc. Step level in ORO 7+ preferred

At least one year of experience working with children with ages 0-5 years in a licensed facility

Spanish fluency preferred

Compensation: $17.50-20/hour, final compensation is based on qualifications and experience
