Aquarium Technician Wanted
We are a group of AQUARIUM HOBBYISTS who have 30 years experience in the aquarium industry and are looking for hobbyists with experience in freshwater, saltwater, plant or reef tanks. Our mission is to take care of our customers, which range all across Eugene and Springfield as well as outlying areas. We make it a priority to keep our client’s aquariums clean and healthy, as well as answer any questions they may have about their aquarium.
We are offering part time or full time positions. Hourly wage will depend upon experience, schooling and current earnings you may have. I would like to see everyone continue to advance.
We will provide the necessary training and tools. We need your strength and enthusiasm.
Job Duties:
- Clean and decorate aquariums.
- Test water parameters to ensure the customer’s aquarium is stable and healthy.
- Recording all information about job.
- Perform water changes and clean filters.
- Communicate with customers to ensure their comfortability, and provide requested products.
- Maintain and organize tools, vans, and shop to keep the work efficient.
- Work well in a team.
- Complete chores around the shop to improve workspace quality.
Requirements for the job:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must work well in a team environment.
- Must have a positive attitude, especially in front of customers.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and be on your feet for long periods of time.
- MUST be passionate about working with aquariums.
Here are a few things that aren’t required, however they will help you succeed in our profession.
- Customer service experience.
- Understanding of aquarium landscaping and/or a good eye for aesthetics.
- Understanding the details of filtration, lighting and other aquarium equipment.
- Understanding advanced aquarium details, water parameters, tank cycling, etc.
