Employment Connections Inc. (ECI) is dedicated to assisting individuals with diagnosed disabilities in securing and maintaining jobs within the community. In collaboration with Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation Services, we provide essential support for our clients. We're currently seeking an Employment Specialist to join us. This role initially offers part-time hours at 30 hours per week, with potential for full-time conversion and added responsibilities. With our low turnover rate, we're seeking individuals eager to grow with us.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct job search and placement services to clients, including assistance with job applications and search strategies.

Source job leads through various methods, such as cold calling employers and utilizing online job boards.

Aid clients in developing applications, offering constructive feedback and interview preparation guidance.

Ensure accurate data entry into databases while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Evaluate job descriptions, assist in crafting cover letters, and customize resumes to enhance client prospects.

Maintain detailed documentation of daily progress and fulfill monthly reporting requirements.

Uphold a professional demeanor, representing the agency positively at all times.

Safeguard client and proprietary information with utmost confidentiality.

Maintain documented client contact for 90 days post-placement.

Desired Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in clerical roles.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide patient, compassionate instruction.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and cultures.

Requirements:

Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Successful completion of a DHS criminal background check.
