Position open due to internal promotion: Entry-Level Accounting Generalist. Hours of work: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday in-person. Location: Springfield, OR
What You’ll Do:
Accounts Receivable focus:
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of accounts receivable functions with processing/data entry, monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
Post customer payments in accounting software & spreadsheets by recording all cash, checks, ACH and credit card transactions.
Reconcile accounts on a regular basis, making deposits and distributing customer invoices to ensure that receivables are collected in a timely manner.
Answer accounts receivable inquiries and perform follow up, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve any customer disputes or issues.
Entry-Level Generalist responsibilities:
Reconcile data to be entered into the GL in accordance with departmental standards and GAAP principles.
Prepare effective account reconciliations with supporting documentation; research and follow up on discrepancies.
Assist in the creation and prep of various routine analytical projects and reports.
Perform PO to AP process (matching purchase orders to payables) and associated data entry.
Assist in month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Provide support for external audits and compliance reporting as needed.
Willingness to job share and learn other accounting functions to assist with vacation coverage when needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
