Sapphire Resources, LLC, founded in 2017 by Erin Bonner, offers administrative, personal representative, Trustee, and fiduciary services to senior individuals and persons with disabilities. We genuinely enjoy working here and hope you will too. Learn more about our company at www.sapphire-resc.com.
A fiduciary is a person legally entrusted to act on behalf of another party, prioritizing their interests above all else. Our firm has 2 fiduciaries, both certified by the Center for Guardianship Certification (CGC), who serve a few dozen folks in town as their Attorney-in-Fact, Trustee, or Personal Representative. We are looking to hire a dedicated full-cycle accountant/bookkeeper to ensure our client and business transactions are well understood and well organized. Our goal is to be client-first in every decision we make.
Requirements:
Fluent with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (3+ years required)
Tech-savvy, capable of learning our CRM (Client Record Management) tool
Professional demeanor—whether in-person, on the phone, or in an email
Positive and courteous, even on a difficult day or in a difficult discussion
Detail-oriented, eager to chase down a discrepancy and find its source
Diligent with documentation and record-keeping
Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify and log client/business transactions into CRM/QuickBooks
Configure automatic imports of client statement data into CRM/QuickBooks
Process accounts receivable and payable into CRM/QuickBooks (bi-monthly)
Project client income & expenses into the future, potentially across several accounts and years
Sapphire renders services at hourly rates, rounded to the tenth hour, and invoices bi-monthly. Our office already employs a full-time administrator, so accountancy tasks would be distinct from routine administrative duties. Approximately half the candidate’s work performed will be billable to our clients, and the other half will be unbillable internal accounting and record-keeping.
The ideal candidate would invest themself in the stability, durability, and longevity of this young small business. Including the owner, Erin, we only have 3 team members, yet we have over 20 active clients and over 30 future clients engaged. Candidates who are successful in this role should be prepared for a long-term commitment, as it will take time to learn the ins and outs of each case, particularly regarding their financial positions. There is room to grow here, and the right accountant would be an invaluable asset to our firm, with full-time workload clearly foreseeable.
Hire Date: Position open until filled.
Hours: M-F Flexible between 8a-6p depending on applicant’s desired schedule. Part-time hours, subject to growth with business increase.
Compensation: $22-25 per hour, medical insurance, 3% matched retirement plan, accruing 3 weeks/year of PTO (usable as sick time), and 10 paid holidays. Retirement and insurance plans would initiate after 90-day probationary period is passed; PTO accrues from date of hire but cannot be used until probationary period is successfully passed.
To apply to this role, please reach out to the craigslist reply email address with your attached resume. In the email body, include a brief personal statement describing who you are, what makes you tick, and why this job posting appeals to you. We look forward to meeting you!
