Elephant Builders is a well-established and leading custom deck and patio cover installation company located in Corvallis Oregon. Most of our work is within Corvallis city limits but does extend to surrounding cities such as Philomath, Albany and Lebanon with an occasional project at the coast.
We primarily install Trex decking and railing along with some other aluminum and steel railings. Our patio covers range from basic shed roofs to highly engineered gables. Most of our projects are permitted with plans but we do a good amount of work where details and decisions are made up ‘on the fly’ and having good problem-solving skills is important.
We are looking for a lead carpenter that has experience in residential building practices, preferably in deck and roof framing as well as finish carpentry. We work outside year-round so having a good love of outdoors and some grit goes a long way.
We are a relatively small company, averaging 6 employees with differing skill levels. We are looking for a self-starter with great work ethic and a go-getter attitude. We are aiming to hire a candidate that is interested in long term employment, someone willing to invest the time and effort to be a part of the company to help us maintain the position as the leading and highly reputable company that we’ve grown to be.

Hand digging footings
Siding removal and repair
Roofing (asphalt/composite, self-adhered membrane)
Deck framing
Roof framing
Finish carpentry
Trex decking and railing installation
We work from 7-3:30 M-F
