We are in search of someone to serve customers at these Farmer's Markets:
Albany Farmer's Market (April-November) Saturdays
Corvallis Farmer's Market (April - November) Saturdays
We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, conversational individual who loves the idea of farm to table and sustainable farming practices who can share that excitement with customers!
This position would be 3-4 Saturdays a month, about 8 hours a day.
Need to be honest & friendly
Good at basic math
Able to stand for 4 hours at a time
Able to lift 50 pounds
Have own transportation
Sales experience preferred, but not required
Basic knowledge of meat cuts
Must eat meat for this position
A passion for sustainable, local, organically farmed foods
Job Involves:
Packing meat into coolers early Saturday morning at our farm in Lebanon
Driving to the market
Setting up the market booth
Vending for 4 hours
Accurately tracking sales and inventory
Tearing down and cleaning up the booth space
Driving the unsold meat back and unloading it
Paid training for 3 markets, then you could work on your own.
Pay is $15/hour with opportunity for more depending on sales ability.
Can be paid cash and/or meat barter.
Can also use your meat as pay and barter with other vendors at the market.
