Thayer Design Build is hiring a motivated Carpenter to support our residential remodeling projects in Corvallis, Albany, and Philomath. This is a full-time role for someone who wants to grow their skills, contribute to meaningful work, and be part of a strong, values-driven team. About the Role
This position is hands-on and fast-paced, with exposure to all phases of construction—from demolition and framing to siding, trim, and punch list completion. You’ll work alongside experienced carpenters and project managers, gaining experience in both rough and finish carpentry while helping keep jobsites clean, organized, and efficient.
We’re looking for someone who shows up on time, has a great attitude, works hard with minimal supervision, and takes direction well. We value people who stay steady under pressure, communicate clearly, and want to be part of a team that supports one another.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with site protection, demo, framing, siding, doors, windows etc.
Support trim work including base, casing, and fine details
Help complete punch lists and light handyman tasks
Keep jobsites clean, stocked, and safe
Follow directions, ask questions, and keep improving
Safely load/unload tools, haul materials, and support site logistics
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of construction experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Own hand tools and basic power tools
Valid Oregon driver’s license with a clean driving record
Reliable transportation and willingness to learn trailer backing
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to grow
Punctual, respectful, and able to follow instructions
Full time benefits (available after 90 days of full-time employment)
