The Corvallis Community Thrift Shop is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a part-time Shop Floor Manager position.
The working hours will be Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9:30 - 4:30. Pay $20 per hour with no benefits.
The ability to contribute to a friendly work environment is essential. Applicants should possess good communication, problem-solving, organizational and supervisory skills.
Among the duties, this person will open and close the Shop; facilitate activities in the shop so that they run smoothly; guide volunteers as needed; ensure policy compliance; ensure proper handling of cash and credit card transactions; complete the daily cash report; problem-solve technical issues with the cash register or credit card machine; address customer concerns; and accept donations from the public. This person will promote a welcoming environment for volunteers and customers.
Qualifications include strong leadership, people management and motivational skills as well as clear communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience working with customers as well as experience resolving issues effectively are desired qualifications.
Must be proficient with a computer and adding machine. This position requires lifting donations up to 20 lbs.
This person will work within the policies of and report to the Board of Directors of The Corvallis Community Thrift Shop, a non-profit organization.
