Project Coordinator

A successful candidate will learn new processes and responsibilities quickly, be a skilled manager, and have a strong ability to oversee multiple projects with overlapping timelines and/or competing deadlines. Currently, the candidate would be primarily working on the BHRN project (85%) while supporting the K-ORCA project and other grant submissions.

The Project Coordinator exercises leadership as the key manager ensuring the team works towards each project’s objectives, overseeing adherence to goals and timelines. Staff oversight includes coordinating work assignments, staffing (hiring and firing), and performance monitoring and appraisals. The position holds the primary responsibility for budgetary management of contracts and projects, including short and long-term planning of personnel and resources. The Project Coordinator works closely with project staff to ensure compliance with ethical standards for data collection and with projects’ other requirements and regulations, and develop administrative procedures and policies.

Requirements:

BA/BS degree with coursework appropriate to the position and at least 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience appropriate to the position

Strong math and computer skills (required for managing budgets and preparing basic reports to track trends over time), including knowledge and expertise with Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience with social science research data collection and research procedures (e.g., conducting interviews/lab tasks, school data collection, subject recruitment)

Supervisory experience

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Job Duties:

Media Campaign plan development including budget management and facilitating collaboration between clinic and county/city

Budget management for two projects; coordinating across projects to ensure compliance with contract rules and limitations

Coordinate staffing, budget, supply, equipment, and computing needs with administration

Ensure compliance with federal and OSLC/ODI requirements and procedures

Responsible for coordinating participant data collection processes and procedures

Information about the BHRN project

The Measure 110 Act funded the creation of Behavioral Health Resource Networks (BHRNs) within every county in Oregon with the purpose to make screening health assessment, treatment and recovery services for drug addiction available to all those who need and want access to those services; and to adopt a health approach to drug addiction by removing criminal penalties for low-level drug possession.

A National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)-funded career development award that aims to support state-level decision makers while they implement the Family First Prevention Services Act—a federal policy to prevent child maltreatment, reduce congregate care placements, and increase permanency should children be removed from the home.
