PCL's Cognitive & Behavioral Health Services Department has one opening for a Behavior Assessment Coordinator (BAC) OR Behavior Assessment Coordinator - in Training to work with people with co-occurring MR/IDD/Mental Health diagnoses in Marion/Polk Counties. This position will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team for a nonprofit agency. Work emphasis: developing behavioral support documents in accordance with the OARs and principles of positive behavioral support, development and implementation of presentation material, associated research, presentation development, and providing specialized training for staff and people supported.

All offers of employment are contingent upon a candidate's successful completion of PCL's pre-employment drug testing, and background investigation, which includes employment, education and criminal histories.

Essential Functions, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to function well in a self directed work team

A dedication to the use of positive behavior support strategies and Person Centered Planning

A dedication to learn and improve skills related to the position

Self-motivated with strong time management skills. This includes the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while able to assess and address priorities

Experienced in the use of a word processing program (i.e., Microsoft Word) and a spreadsheet program (i.e., Microsoft Excel); use of Therap Software a plus

Strong skills in writing and verbal communication

Skilled in training and creative presentations

The ability to maintain and work within a budget

The ability to develop and present at small and large venues

Factors to be considered:

Experience in developing and implementing behavior treatment or support plans

Knowledge and experience of the Oregon MR/DD system

Knowledge and experience with the Oregon Intervention System

Supervisory & team development experience

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old

A Bachelors Degree in a Social Science field with 3 years of experience delivering Professional Behavior Services OR 6 years of experience delivering Professional Behavior Services (in training position will have a firm timeline to meet these requirements)

Possess a valid ODL with an acceptable driving record (min. of 6 months driving experience).(Click here for driver eligibility guide.)

Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 25lbs (some positions require more)

Pass a State/Federal criminal history check (fingerprints may be required).(Click here for link to current Potential Disqualifying Crimes and Conditions).

Pass a pre-employment drug screening for illegal substances in Oregon

Pass a pre-employment computer skills assessment

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Behavior Assessment Coordinator: Full time/salaried exempt position, starting range $3,000 - $3,150/month, DOE

Behavior Assessment Coordinator - in Training: Full time/hourly position, starting range $15 - $16/hour, DOE

Retirement, PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision and Life for full time employees.
