We are Wavelength References, Inc., a small company located in south Corvallis. We manufacture near to mid infrared frequency standards for the calibration, metrology, and gas sensing industries.
Job Summary:
Part-time to Full time (with customer demand) manufacturing technician position to assemble components in a variety of configurations based on customer specifications. The products are built around the use of fiber optic technology and the molecular absorption of gas. Basic knowledge may be beneficial, but no background knowledge is necessary. After training, you will be responsible for understanding customer purchase orders, loading parts, and assembling our gas-cell products in a standard procedure. This will include epoxying parts, polishing fiber connectors, aligning fiber-collimators, and troubleshooting. Staying organized and prioritizing work orders based on scheduled due dates as well as communication with the rest of the staff is key.
