Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team in Corvallis, Oregon. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing excellent repair and maintenance services to our customers' fitness equipment and various mechanical devices. Your attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and exceptional customer service skills will be crucial to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Perform on-site repairs and maintenance on a variety of fitness equipment and mechanical devices.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to determine the root cause of problems.
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and recommend preventive maintenance.
Efficiently repair or replace defective parts, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment.
Test equipment after repairs to ensure it is in optimal working condition and meets quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of all repairs, parts used, and services provided.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns in a professional and friendly manner.
Communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing, explaining repair procedures and providing usage recommendations.
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and ensure timely completion of service requests.
Keep up to date with industry trends, new products, and repair techniques through continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements:
Proven experience in fitness equipment repair and mechanical repair.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform meticulous work.
Excellent customer service repertoire, with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Exceptional problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues effectively.
Good written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
Self-sufficiency and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Organizational skills to manage repair tasks, maintain inventory, and keep accurate records.
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new equipment and repair techniques.
Must be able to pass a background test and possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to comfortably lift 100lbs
Forklift experience preferred
Experience driving 26' box truck (non CDL) preferred
