Salary:$80,000 - $95,000 per year, DOE

Position Summary:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking aMaintenance Supervisorfor a client partner in Brownsville, OR. This role involves overseeing and coordinating the maintenance operations of a production plant, ensuring all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, experienced in maintenance management, and skilled in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Primary Responsibilities:

Safety Management:Ensure the safety of all personnel through best practices, including LOTO, confined space, and electrical safety.

Maintenance Operations:Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment in the production facility.

Preventative Maintenance:Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Inventory Management:Manage inventories and order necessary parts for equipment maintenance.

Contractor Coordination:Consult with and manage outside contractors for specialized projects.

Team Supervision:Supervise and train Millwrights and LME apprentices, ensuring efficient troubleshooting and repair of equipment.

Project Management:Plan, prioritize, and delegate maintenance schedules, track production downtime, and manage weekend projects.

Maintenance Excellence:Support and drive improvement in maintenance systems through the Maintenance Excellence program.

Reporting:Provide regular reports to the Plant Manager on safety and maintenance concerns and ongoing projects.

Performance Management:Participate in employee performance evaluations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Education:High School diploma or GED required.

Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience at the journeyman level as a Millwright or equivalent. Supervisory experience preferred.

Certifications:Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) card preferred; Journeyman Millwright card preferred.

Skills:Basic understanding of electrical concepts, project planning, and implementation. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various plant conditions, and use personal protective equipment as required.

Working Conditions:

Environment:The role involves both office work for planning and reporting, as well as hands-on work in the plant, including inspecting site conditions and directing maintenance projects.

Physical Demands:Walking, climbing ladders, stooping, kneeling, and exposure to slippery surfaces and overhead obstacles.

Weather:Ability to work under various weather conditions as needed.
