Job Title: Bookkeeper / Property Manager

Brownsville, OR

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

This dual-role position combines accounting responsibilities with property management duties. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, a working knowledge of QuickBooks (Desktop and Online), and experience managing rental properties. Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to emails, voicemails, texts, and faxes

Scan, attach, file, and mail documents

Transcribe and perform 10-key data entry

Order, stock, and maintain office supplies

Utilize Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Zoom, and Google Workspace tools (Calendar, Docs, Contacts)

Bookkeeping

Submit payroll via Intuit Payroll

Pay bills, write checks, and input charges and transfers

Reconcile accounts and generate/pull expense reports

Perform journal entries and general ledger management

Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Desktop and Online

Human Resources

Process payroll and maintain compliance with state and federal labor laws

Monitor workers’ compensation requirements and reporting

Property Management

Manage tenant communication, leases, notices, maintenance requests, and contractors

Coordinate vacancy listings, property showings, and move-in/move-out processes

Understand and apply Oregon rental housing laws specific to counties

Work with HUD Housing applications, regulations, and documentation

Use Zillow and other rental platforms for marketing and tenant sourcing

Track and manage utility accounts and service orders

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping and property management

Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Online

Familiarity with Oregon rental laws and HUD housing guidelines

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Intuit Payroll, and property-related apps

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with residential property management in Oregon

Knowledge of Linn and Lane County rental housing regulations

Experience handling maintenance coordination and vendor relations
