Schedule after training – Monday through Friday, 10:45am – 7:45pm
Position based in Redmond, OR

Summary of Duties:
This position is responsible for dispatching, route, scheduling, and will assist in assigning bus driver personnel to routes; answer general questions regarding rides, dispatch, and travel information. Maintain good radio communication protocol; collect and track operating data as assigned. Respond to emergencies, follow emergency procedures, and provide assistance to drivers and passengers in emergency situations. Familiarity of the Driver Manual. Comply with the COIC/CET Drug & Alcohol policy and procedures and be trained in reasonable suspicion. Represent COIC in a courteous and professional manner that will maintain and promote the positive reputation of the organization.
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED. One year dispatching or scheduling experience, or work experience that clearly demonstrates ability to rapidly learn and perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Strong computer skills including experience in spreadsheet and word processing programs.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Exceptional knowledge of the roads in Bend, Redmond, Madras, Prineville, La Pine, and Sisters
- Work well under pressure and able to deal with a wide range of personalities, temperaments, and ability levels while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
- Complete multiple tasks, occasionally under highly stressful and/or time-sensitive conditions
- Work with and keep confidential sensitive personnel information.
- Able to pass and maintain a clean criminal background and DMV driving record background check – pre-employment drug screen also required.
- Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license and access to a private vehicle or equivalent means of transportation.
