Superintendent

Supervises and coordinates activities of construction and workers by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Supervises, coordinates, or schedules the activities of construction and workers.

2. Create, maintain, and distribute project schedules.

3. Reads specifications such as blueprints to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures.

4. Inspects work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met.

5. Locates, measures, and marks site locations or placement of structures or equipment using measuring and marking equipment.

6. Coordinates work activities with other construction project activities.

7. Assigns work to employees based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs.

8. Confers with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities.

9. Analyzes worker production problems and recommends solutions such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.

10. Trains workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, or company policies.

11. Understands that all duties/responsibilities are subject to change at any time.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, Turbo

Cad, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Microsoft Outlook.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or

equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
