Bend Electric Bikes sells, services and rents electric bikes with a mission to get more people on bikes. We are celebrating our 16th year as Central Oregon’s most comprehensive electric bike and cargo bike shop. E-bikes are the fastest growing segment of the cycling industry and we are beginning another exciting and fast-paced season. Our current brands include Specialized, Trek, Larry vs. Harry, Riese & Müller, Urban Arrow, Gazelle, Benno, Tern, and Bulls.
We are hiring for a Bike Sales Associate
This is a seasonal to possibly permanent position, 5 days/week, 30-40 hours per week
Requirements:
Excellent customer service
Able to manage multiple tasks and pay attention to details
Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Dependable, reliable, and flexible with problem solving skills
Must be able to work independently (sometimes) or as part of a team (most often)
Must be able to work Saturdays & Sundays and some holidays to support business needs
Most of all, have a passion for bikes and helping people live better lives
Retail Sales and Rental Responsibilities:
Learn bike brands, models, and BEB Sales process
Complete sales transactions and new customer education
Take customers on test rides and tours
Take and complete rental reservations and transactions in person, by phone or online
Set bikes up for rental customers, provide instruction, perform safety checks and schedule service as needed to keep rental bikes in top operating condition
Maintain clean shop including floors, bikes, counters, and bathroom
Answer phones and respond to messages and email promptly
Open and closing procedures
Pay is competitive and determined by skills and experience.
Work Includes Weekends and some Holidays
