Position Summary
The General Store Retail Opener helps open the store each day and ensures smooth front-end and general store operations. This role contributes to merchandising, product flow, team communication, and early-morning store readiness, while upholding food safety, store policies, and excellent customer experience.
In the absence of store leadership, this position may act in a support capacity to ensure continuity and cohesion during early shifts.
Weekend availability is required.
This is a Full-time position with some leadership responsibilities in collaboration with the Store Manager.
Pay Scale
We believe in paying employees fairly for doing work of comparable character in line with the Oregon Equal Pay Act, and we’ve implemented an internal pay-scale system based on hours worked.
This position is part of our internal pay scale, which means for every 1040 hours you work, you’ll move to the next level in pay until you reach the maximum of the scale – we call that “Journeyman.” Pretty cool, huh?

What We’re Looking For:
A current Food Handler’s Permit (required)
A current OLCC Permit (required)
Two (2) years of grocery retail experience preferred
One (1) year of leadership experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills
Familiarity with safe food handling and sanitation practices
Dependable and able to manage time independently
Positive communicator with initiative and team spirit
Comfortable with point-of-sale systems and basic computer tasks
Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility
