JOB DESCRIPTION:
Required to remove groceries from carts, conveyor belt, scans for price or place on scale to weigh. Additionally, bags order, accepts payment and makes change. Occasionally will assist customers to vehicle with groceries and load groceries into the vehicle. Also face shelves, sweep floor, or clean around check stand area.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/SKILLS:
Use intercom or telephone.
Pushing and pulling grocery carts.
Accepting payment and making change.
Stocking of shelves.
Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures.
Excellent Customer Service skills.
Basic math skills.
Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described below are those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions for this job:
Work in a standing position for up to 8 hours a day.
Use hands, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate equipment.
Lift up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
Carry up to 10 pounds on a regular basis for 50’and up to 50 pounds on a frequent
basis for 10 feet.
Push up to 100 pounds for 50 feet.
Pull up to 50 pounds for 50 feet.
Stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
May be required to use ladders and/or stairs.
Use of box knife
