Job Details:

Job Title – Teacher Aide

Hours/Days – Normal Business Hours, Monday – Friday

Based in Bend, OR, but also servicing La Pine, OR

Summary of Duties:

The purpose of this role is to assist and collaborate closely with COIC Teachers at multiple campuses to support school activities. Assists in enrolling new students: receiving new referrals, contacting families, and scheduling enrollment meetings. Proctors weekly GED exams, tracks attendance and makes daily absence notifications. Makes copies, corrects student work, and assists in student instruction as needed. Works under direct supervision of Youth Education Manager.

Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent.

- Comfortable and proficient with computers, software, and cloud-based services. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to read and write.

- Ability to interact professionally with Teachers, Students, Parents, and other Stakeholders.

- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to multiple worksites in all weather conditions.

- Must pass a criminal background and driving background check.

- Must maintain client and agency confidentiality.

- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.

- Must successfully pass a non-DOT (minor safety sensitive) pre-employment drug test.

- Preferred Bilingual.

- Experience with data entry preferred.

- Experience handling confidential information preferred.

- Experience working in classrooms or education preferred.

- Experience in customer service preferred.

- Experience working independently, taking initiative on tasks preferred.
