Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Metal Fabricators/MIG Welders with a strong background in operating shop machinery. The ideal candidates will possess exceptional welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding and metal fabrication tasks according to specifications
Operate and maintain various shop machinery, including but not limited to shears, presses, saws, torches, and forklifts
Interpret blueprints and welding symbols to produce accurate and high-quality work
Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator/MIG Welder (2 to 5+ years)
Proficient in operating shop machinery and tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols
Strong attention to detail and precision
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of safety protocols and practices
Requirements:
Prior certification in welding or a related field
Minimum 2 years of experience in metal fabrication and MIG welding preferred
Ability to lift and move heavy materials
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Valid Driver’s License
Benefits:
$25-35 per hour DOE
