JOB DESCRIPTION: One Piece Pushrod Order Processing/Shipping Specialist
JOB DETAIL: The role of the Processing/Shipping Specialist focuses on accurately
processing all one piece pushrod orders shipped from Smith Brothers Pushrods and
tracking production progress of special and inventory one piece pushrod orders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Will include but not limited to the following:
- Prepare Pushrod orders and other products for shipping by specified method and time.
- Operate Laser Engraving Machines as necessary to mark pushrods and other proprietary
parts.
- Ensure that all orders have been filled correctly, verified by order inspection checklist.
- Receives and distributes incoming shipments to various departments.
- Straighten Pushrods to specifications outlined in PolicyTech document titled “Arbor
Press”
- Support pushrod manufacture in areas of need.
- Monitor stocking/inventory levels as required.
- Monitor special and inventory orders through the manufacturing process for timely
delivery and to maintain adequate stocking levels.
- Assumes responsibility for other functions such as housekeeping, recycling, trash
removal or simple maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all assigned projects are completed in accordance with the Smith Brothers
Safety policy.
- Other duties as assigned by management or dept. lead.
- Willingness and ability to work extended hours or weekends if necessary.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
- Read and understand written and verbal instruction.
- Must possess computer skills necessary to run programs to operate laser engraving
machines.
- Is mechanically inclined.
- Possess basic math skills
- Ability or knowledge utilizing standard inspection and precision measuring
instruments.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Detail orientation in performing accurate transactions.
- Proactively meets both internal and external customer needs.
- Effective work methods and consistently meets commitments.
- Effective communication skillsclear, concise and positive.
- Able to perform repetitive tasks.
- Good organization skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works primarily in a machine shop environment.
- Will on a continuous basis, stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Noise level is usually low-moderate.
- Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed.
- Must be flexible to perform limited part finishing and/or assembly as needed.
