WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of the Paint and Body Shop Team, the Aircraft Detailer/Painter Assistant (Afternoon Shift) will be assisting with bodywork, priming, sanding, blocking, skimming, and masking. Will also use body shop tools and spray equipment in addition to fillers, resins, epoxy, polyurethane, and urethane primers. Expectations may include:

Cutting and buffing fresh clearcoat

Fixing any dust or debris in clearcoat

Correcting runs

Polishing blends

Small spot-ins for burns, chips, or scratches

Completing all paperwork

Helping the painters set up for painting parts

Washing parts

Fixing masking

Inspecting primed parts for defects prior to paint

Prepping parts between coats of paint

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Prior Bodywork and/or painting experience on aircraft or in the automotive field is helpful

Cutting and buffing or painting experience helpful

Able to work as part of a team with a great attitude

High standards for following instructions, detailed work, and work quality

Able to stand for extended periods and move about the facility as needed

Able to work with minimal supervision

Self-motivated, self-disciplined, organized, and driven individual

Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

Aerospace manufacturing position in the Paint & Body Shop Department

Competitive wages starting at $21.63/hr. plus $1/hr. shift differential

Afternoon Shift: Monday - Thurs 2:30 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.
