Looking to hire two Full time positions assisting with property care and upkeep as well as basic horse care. Weeding, raking, spraying, cleaning horse stalls, cleaning horse pastures, feeding horses, filling and cleaning water troughs etc. Experience and weekends are required, the job is also salary based and may require you to work late from time to time. Your primary responsibilities include providing daily care and feeding for up to 40 horses and sticking to a strict owner-approved feeding regimen.
You will use established procedures and checklists to ensure animals and facilities are cared for in accordance with our requirements.
duties also include daily cleaning out of the stalls and pastures, washing water troughs and automatic waters, and ensuring the horses are clean, healthy, and comfortable.
Weekly upkeep, trash removal, and cleaning of the facilities
Some basic landscaping work around the facility may include hand watering plants, setting sprinklers, weed eating, spraying and/or pulling weeds around the grounds of the facility.
Ensure all concrete and other walking surfaces are free from debris, snow and ice.
Knowledge of small engines and vehicle maintenance is a plus.
Any knowledge of horse care and or handling is a bonus but can be taught on the job
Physical Requirements:
ability to lift, carry and load up to 80 pounds
lift, shift or load bales of hay
carry and climb a ladder safely up to 10 feet
ability to use basic tools such as a shovel, snow shovel, rake, etc.
ability to use small machines, such as a power washer, mower, leaf blower, etc.
ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.
