Our 3 Adult Foster Care Homes are looking for a professional and warm-hearted caregiver/resident manager. This position is for a Two day shift one week and Three day shift every other week. Starting 1:30pm on Saturday, Sunday and off Monday at 1:30. This current home has four lovely ladies. Two of the residents do most of their own ADL's, one client prefers to stay in bed all day and one needs a little more help. We want someone with a loving heart that our residents will adore and feel comfortable with. You get your own bedroom for the days you are working 24hr shifts. Even though its a 24hr shift you still get to sleep in your own comfy bed and get lots of breaks through out the day. Shift pay is for 16hrs. If you get woken up at night and do not get 5 hrs of continuous sleep, you will be compensated. Three paid vacation days after the first year. A pet may be allowed to accompany you on your shift, with permission and must have up to date vaccines. We feel our caregivers are gold and treat them with respect and dignity. Job Description:
24hr shifts. Cooking 3 meals (plus a snack) for 4 residents, cleaning, laundry, showers, transfers, complete peri care and hygiene regiment for all residents, distribute medication, track and record medications, help residents with any task, engage the resident in puzzles, games, art or exercise and of course be a shoulder to lean on.
Requirements:
Mandatory Dementia Training
IBL certification
Inclusive care certification
First Aid & CPR (We can set up an appt. to take at our home, Cost is yours)
A MINIMUM of 2 yrs experience working with the elderly includes taking care of a family member.
Good hygiene, nice appearance and clean scrubs
Works well with a team of great caregivers
Willing to go to classes and learn from your peers and the nurses we work with.
