National Mobile Caterer looking for KITCHEN CREW and CAMP CREW for this current fire season. We are in need of both kitchen crew (cooks and prep cooks) and general labor camp crew.
Our cooks prepare meals at the fire camp for anywhere from 200 - 2000 Firefighters daily while we are on a fire. We provide the firefighters with a hot meal for breakfast and dinner and a sack lunch daily. It takes a lot of people to make this happen, not just cooks. The rest of the crew would provide support with set-up / take-down of camp, beverage and meal service, moving freight, making sandwiches, sacking lunches, and keeping camp organized and clean.
This is a great opportunity for a lot of hours and a unique experience!
We are a federally contracted kitchen that primarily provides meals to wildland firefighters throughout the western states during the summer months. Our contract runs from the middle of June through the end of September.
These are on-call positions that require the ability to leave within a few hours notice from the Bend, OR area for an unknown duration of time. Also required, is the ability to work long hours, day in and day out, in adverse conditions for as long as necessary to complete the assignment.
