Fire on the Mountain is looking for a full time and part time line cook at our BEND location.
Fire on the Mountain is a Portland-based company with six brick and mortar units. We pride ourselves in serving quality ingredients that are locally sourced, humanely raised and house-made. Position Details:
Hourly Rate: $24.50-28.50/hour. The hourly is $16.50/hour and tips range $8-12/hour
Schedules may vary, there may be a mix of AM and PM shifts and weekday and weekends. Approved time off is always honored.
Qualifications and Requirements:
1 year of previous kitchen experience
Able to work fast, stay organized and keep a clean station
Able to work on your own as well as a with team
Current food handlers permit (OLCC a plus but not required)
Strong punctuality
High standards of food safety, workplace safety and cleanliness
Ability to work on your feet for 7-8 hours (or more) and lift 50 pounds
Availability on nights and weekends
Friendly, respectful and team-oriented
Able to take direction from both peers and management

Physical Requirements
As a member of our team, you will be working in a kitchen environment. This requires walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, and pulling to handle or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You will be asked to operate traditional restaurant equipment. Depending on the location, you may need to go up and down stairs. The ability to communicate and exchange information with coworkers and others is also required. You will be expected to comply with all public health requirements.
Working Conditions
High noise levels due to operations, guests, and overhead music
Ability to work in close quarters and around heat
May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on shop (varied weather conditions are expected); including delivering order car side to the guest
Varying schedule to include opening and closing shifts, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates
Handle cooked or raw meat and possible allergens including soy, wheat, dairy, strawberries, and/or coconut
